Old: Railway bridge over the magnificent Grand Surrey Canal, built to link Camberwell to the River Thames, more than 200 years ago. The Wikipedia entry is decent. Part of the route is now the not so grand Surrey Canal Road.
Former city canals remind me of the former Beeching lines on the railway, in the sense that some transport links have become less varied and useful since the 19th century.
