People are clearly hyper sensitive to accusations or signs that people are doping, information moves a lot more freely these days and citizen journalism etc means that getting incriminating evidence would be much easier.
I think things have moved since the Lance days, at least for the fans/ journalists being willing to call people out

Froome and Sky have always maintained that his heart rate never goes above 170BPM even in an all out effort. This is physiologically insane. Just how big is his heart?

My point is that Lance had evidence against him and yet he still went on to to win 7 Tours so evidence or lack of it in Tour terms doesn't mean much when it comes to winning the race. If he can cover shit up enough to get away with 7 wins, why can't another mob do the same?
Maybe it is just perfected training and diet and a bit of luck but the Tour always going to be a bit...for me.

No, the Twitter trolls and the clinic, the ones that treat the riders like they are subhuman

100% correct in pretty much everything you said there, a bit of clarity thanks

Ah - I don't really follow those people so I'm not so away of them. You'll find them in the comments sections occasionally, but generally they look like absolute morons.

A top heart for the lungs and a bottom heart for the legs. Good idea.

This 100%, a brief association with a dodgy doctor and a few ex-dopers as DS's is as bad as it gets with Sky and British Cycling, JTL aside, who doesn't really count. But because they are good they are guilty, and because they are British and rich they get more hate than they really deserve.

So, a doctor, a few DS's, a couple of riders... tell me more about this zero tolerance policy...

I wouldnt mind Froome winning if he wasnt such a spaz
-
• #1566
If you find out, can you let Movistar know please?
-
• #1567
He's not a spaz; he's the epitome of cool and is sex personified...
His Gran also clearly has a lovely garden.

• #1568
Oh man - he needs a new PR person.
Oh...

Was this quoted from Quintana?

One of his power files from the 2011 Vuelta TT is still on Training Peaks. Shows same freakish low HR too

so here's the deal right: just publish all the power files for all riders for each day in competition. I propose that we know enough about the limits of human ability WRT cardio, vascular, neuro and metabolic performance to pull anyone who looks more than 1-2% above those limitations.
-
• #1573
^ Nonsense. If you did a bit of reading about genes you would know that if you had a genuine genetic outlier (perhaps Froome is) their values would be well outside the accepted 'normal' limits of human ability.

The bikes are getting scanned for electric motors but maybe Froome needs to be scanned for an electric heart pump.

Crikey. His max HR isn't even as high as my threshold HR.
It's possible though - as a basic example; when we were in Mallorca this year I found out that @Chalfie has freakishly low HR (never gets above 165) and that @Bainbridge rarely gets past 174~ as a max max effort - whereas I have a range from 38-204. HR doesn't really prove anything.
Cyborg, right?
