Picked up my bass for the first time in about a month to learn some wedding band tunes. I decided to play through my Trace Elliot VA350, the all valve bastard, for a change. Went through the valve preamp that's got nothing but a volume control.
I'd forgotten how amazing it sounds! Even at low volume it just sounded lovely and warm and fat. If it wasn't such a heavy old beast I'd love to gig it more often.
