  • Short Info:
This Sandy Gilchrist lo-pro time trial frame is from 1991 and was built by Rick Powell who had formerly worked at the Carlton lightweight unit in Worksop. This lo-pro frame suits a 24in front wheel. This frame is built from Reynolds 531C tubing.

Yellow f&f, chrome wheels, seat post stem and bars, white seat and bar tape with purple accents, black tyres.

    Considering only rear deraileur, opinions?
With accents haven't got colour decided, opinions?
    General opinions?

  • Frane is perfect. Needs gears all day long.
If you want to run a 120mm hub just add spacers. No need to squash the rear end.

  • I have a clincher 24" front wheel for sale if you're interested bud

  • So how are you going to maintain chain tension? ENO hub?

  • Loverly frame. I'd put gears on it but up to you. What's that front hub and rim? Are both wheels tubular

  • 126mm rear end flexes for 120mm fixed hub and when you open nuts it springs back to 126mm (can ofcourse deform towards 120mm in the long run). The permanent action is called "cold setting" but it is not needed in thes 3mm bendings. You would need it if the difference would be bigger. White eno eccentric hub is in 130mm widht (if I recall correctly) so it works well in 126mm rear end as well.
