A few years ago I saw a chiropractor (THIS WAS BEFORE I KNEW OK SO DON'T JUDGE) for lower back pain, and she had me do this stretch, which really helped a lot:
She recommended each knee in turn, then both knees up at the same time, and also suggested to - if it's not uncomfortable - keep the leg on the unstretched side flat on the floor (instead of just having the foot on the floor).
NB the stretches were for muscle pain, and if you have broken your vertebrae then this probably won't help at all and will make things worse so by taking my third hand "medical" advice you agree that I will not be held liable for any loss or damage arising from your following of it.
Woke up with an aching back this morning, down at the base of the spine; was a struggle to walk for a while. Not quite so bad now but any suggestions to alleviate it. I'm away at the moment so a doctor would be a real hassle. Cheers
