  • I don't like the idea of people taking photos of people just cos they think they are doing something remarkable or unusual. If it's a lone female it's another level of rudeness and imposition. My neighbour just flew back from Italy on Easyjet and had nobody either side so stretched out for a kip and woke to some bloke taking a photo. Bloody rude. Taking photos of people with iphones strapped to their head is how the nazis started.

  • How can they know that he is 54?

  • Counting the number of growth rings?

  • I don't like the idea of people taking photos of people just cos they think they are doing something remarkable or unusual.

    Do you even photography?

  • Taking photos of people with iphones strapped to their head is how the nazis started.

I'm probably failing to read the irony here but making arbitrary rules could also be considered somehow totalitarian...
In the context of this thread I can't see how this picture could be considered equivocal and how it could anyhow be compared to taking a photo of someone asleep in an airport or wherever this happened to your neighbor...

    Sorry if I missed something...

  • What a bloody bloke. I love Acomb.

  • I got called a "sanctimonious twat" by a bloke on a bike today, felt good.

He'd gone through the red at the junction just outside Brixton Police station, then stopped next to a car, which meant he could not see the lights turn green.

I said "if you're going to jump the red can you at least get out of the way when they go green", which seemed to annoy him a lot.

  • Don't let them see your ID cards Pike !

  • Before I read the iphone-strapped-to-head post back there, I'd never heard of such a thing, ever. This evening, I hear someone jabbering away behind me at the lights on Rye Lane, so I turned round. It was a man with his iphone stuck into his helmet strap, talking. Talking I ask you.

  • I assume he immediately caused a pile up of biblical proportions?

  • That's just the natural condition of Rye Lane in my experience

  • I bet he was punching a puppy in the face as he was talking, though, wasn't he? And he was being bare racists and sexists down the phone to whoever he was calling, wasn't he? I know the type.

  • Did you at least get a photo?

  • To the guy on the bring new white and orange Fuji bike, wearing a white helmet and I think a tracksuit, fu*k off, just f*ck off. I asked nicely for you to stop trying to undertake me and to stop overlapping me for most of the way down Brixton Rd.

I'm a bit sorry that as you tried to undertake me again I slowed which meant you had to stop as there was a parked car in your way. Whoops

  • Well done for asking nicely.

halfwheeler hasnt ever happened to me. I hope I would passive aggresive cycle train them. Normally I stay the fuck away from everyone. Getting annoyed thinking about this halfwheeling now. Had a few drafters.. none I recall this year!
Can you tell- I rarely commute at rush hour any more.

This thread is fun though. I never seen anyone walk a junction and hop back. Though my pedestrianising myself is just normal for restricted junctions I.e no right turn.

    Ok back to lurk.

  • "Overlapping" != "halfwheeling"

If someone is half-wheeling you you're riding along side them and they're half a wheel ahead of you which pushes the pace up as you try to catch up.

  • Sorry, will edit

  • stop getting bike riding wrong!

  • Half-wheeling is the new drafting.

  • I've got a half wheel on right now.

  • Half-wheel half-wheelish half-wheelist "Half-wheel" half-wheeling half-wheel half-wheelivity.

    * May contain new definitions/usages of the phrase "half-wheeling".

  • I also thought half wheeling meant drafting a half wheel behind ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  • I half wheeled, he half wheels, you half wheel, we two shall have half wheeled

  • Quote, Mr Don Estelle "It ain't Half wheeled Mum"

  • You nearly made me drop my bidon
