this. manufacturers spend tons on R&D, windtunnels, clothing (Froome even had a seamstress come over to extra-tight-fit-and-dewrinkle his yellow aerosuit) helmets, develop integrated brakes and whatnot, then strap a brick to the back of their riders as soon as the race begins. #baffled
I'd guess if it did, all the track pursuit riders would be doing something similar?
(I get your point that it's meaningless unless you test it, but most of them are massively off to one side which would help on a Velodrome I guess but not on the road?.??)
