  • Here's the same spot a couple of years ago before the pub in the foreground was redeveloped in to flats.

  • Interesting...

  • ..nice picture(s) of nice house(s), I also really like the colour..
    perspective correction much though?

  • No perspective correction in the new one. I think there was a slight amount on the older one though.

  • That is great, good timing.

  • Can Anyone recommend any decent bridge or compact cameras for under £100/120? Want to start taking more pictures when I'm exploring or on holiday and tired of taking photos on my shite camera phone. Amy good of the shelf options or is it best sock ding my money on used or refurbished.
Don't need anything asap just thinking for the future

  • Totally sock ding your money bro.

  • For that money, you'll basically get iPhone quality images. Which ain't bad but it might be worth looking at used higher-end compacts like the canon s120.

Depends what you need really. What phone are you using?

  • Fuji XQ1 can be had for £150 or so second hand and isn't bad from what I've heard. I think @photoben had one for a bit. I'm not really aware of anything cheaper with decent IQ.

  • @well_is_it Samsung Galaxy s3 :////// contract lasts another year hopefully will upgrade to iPhone after but the ca,era is really shocking
    @h20 £150 isn't too bad
Decision is wether to save for new bike or camera

  • I bought a canon s100 a couple of months back and I've found it great compared to taking pictures on my iPhone. Picture quality, especially in low light, is much better. The biggest plus for me was that it had a battery which lasted, my iPhone always seemed to die at the worst possible times...

  • I got a Fujifilm XF1 for about £120 new (not sure if they're still doing them). Far better quality than phone camera (Nexus 5), particularly in low light and a lot easier to actually take pictures with.

This was using it, very little noise for a dark shot:

  • A few from RHC

  • Nice! Great shots from right in amongst it all. I especially like the processing on the first one.

  • Yeah the colours in that top one are nuts! What were you shooting on?

  • Cheers guys!
These were shot with Canon 5Dii and 85/1.8.

The top one we shot during the Men's Crit final in the evening so the light was much softer. The other two were earlier in the afternoon during the qualifying in much harsher light, so difficult to achieve the same result.

  • Well, you nailed it.

  • By the way, the Conservative government would like to make it easier for such creatures to be hunted for sport. There is a demonstration at parliament tomorrow.

  • Is fox hunting really so high on the list of priorities for campaigning. EU just bulldozered democracy in Greece, we're on the brink of expanding our airport capacity, and the UK is doing a few hairs short of sod all on climate change.

And it's a few wealthy people on horses killing a couple of medium size cute-ish mammals in the countryside that's getting everyone upset..

    ...Sorry rant over...

  • Given how busy you must be campaigning I'm surprised you find time to post here. It's not an either/or. There's a vote on Wednesday so people who care about the vote have organised a protest. It doesn't follow that that means they don't care, or campaign, about other things or that they rank fox hunting higher. 'Whataboutery' never gets anyone anywhere.

  • Is that in Pease Pottage?
