  • Who are you and why are we meant to hate you?

    Team Foffa?

  • thats possibly a thread killer or several pages of off tangent chatter.........like a sales thread a while ago involving one :)

  • Anyone got seen any good edits or footage of the crit?
    Cheers

  • Maybe too early Toadfish, some stuff filtering onto youtube today, a few bikes had cameras on and a pro camera on a boom covering start finish, so i would hope some team vids and an event vid, normally takes a few days for pro edits to crop up in mountain bike races.

  • Good point superfly.

Is there a particular brand/company that produces good videos of the crit? Cinelli-chrome etc?

  • If there are any potential sponsors reading this. NLTCBMBC are open to offers, we did well on our own backs this year, beating a lot of semi-pro sponsored hipsters, but with a few freebies and some strategically placed endorsements we can improve significantly next year. PM for details.

I'd also like to take a moment for our fallen brethren, The London Mayhem Squad.

Did they even Red Hook Crit? Thanks for the lols. You talk a good game though.

Broken collarbone and pelvis, also bike fork

  • :)

Toadfish, nothing extra has cropped up yet, the youtube links in the thread allready and a few others are it so far.
However, you look for the Brooklyn race and older races and Cinelli has some under riders names, some official ones under red hook crit and Aventon/wolfpack, i expected more team stuff as this is an unsanctioned event.

(in mountain biking use of cameras is a moot point and under tight control by UCI and BC, team edits and track runs are rife and easy PR for teams, drones use has been stopped now before some pilot twats a rider mid run or crashes on a spectator with a flat battery and they all make lazy infill for webzines/mags)

  • giofox the link not working for me.

Is that the rider from the early you tube links who gets up and gets off the track or another rider.

Either way speedy healing to the racer down.

  • I second this. I particularly need a better track frame and wheels and some sunglasses to stop my eyeliner from running in the wind.

  • Well qualifying was pretty hairy so was glad to get through unscathed. I hit my qualifying solo and kept going for a hot lap only to get stuck behind slow/unaware riders. Ended up qualifying 2nd in my group and 91st overall, ~0.5s off making it into the main race. It was a shame not to make the main race and that the last chance race didn't happen but had a great day and was thankful to be a part of such an amazing event.

@HoKe cheers for the shouts "DRIVE IT!" definitely helped me eke out a few extra watts, some of the shots you took of me are cracking too. Mind if I send a few over to Jacek Orlowski? Sure he'd appreciate seeing his bike in action.

If anyone else got any snaps of me (No.203 LFGSS kit) or my bike (black Orlowski) it would be cool to see them.

    Buzzing for next year already!

  • Or better eyeliner?

  • So basically most people go to watch crashes?

    Seems legit.

  • Watching red bull soapbox race now, sheer carnage :0

  • @I_am_Hingis @853Superfly know one is meant to hate us, I'm Ben flower I ride for and co found east London fixed, we've been riding collectively for 18 months and have organised a few events but from using the forum have had quite a lot of negative feedback and abuse from certain users. Hasn't bothered us were all strong riders and we've soldiered on and done very well the last year.

We qualified in group 3 but had a hairy session coz of the amount of red flags and crashes. A few of us struggled to put in a hot lap as our original plan of goin for it on laps 3 and 4 Didn't go to plan, our session started over 3 times I think, once due to a spectator going into labour. Owen crashed out in turn 3 aswell but still managed to qualify for the main race without injury. We joined forces mid qualifying TT style to try get atleast one of our guys a good time.

Both the guys and Lina were in full le coq sportif kit.

  • That picture of Owen is incredible!

  • @timbre all 3 of us were on his wheel at this point and we all managed to steer clear of crashing aswell, he came unclipped on the turn, scared the shit out of me being right behind him!

  • Oh this was you?

    (Loving the socks btw)

Forum pro jersey looks epic in the sun btw, only person repping LFGSSCC! Well done mate!

Might even get a forum skinsuit from @6pt, when he has finalised the design.

I would have joined you lots, but unfortunately due to school commitments, no track bike and pork buns I couldn't take part this year. (Hopefully RCH will come back next year and I'll give track crits one last go)

  • How do you come unclipped in a turn?
Anyone know who the kid in the Attaquer kit was in group 3? He's a liability.

  • @Sumo Owen had to change pedals after the qualifiers I think his pedal broke during the heat somehow, too much power ;)

  • Bit savage on the quali's good go though.

Ta for the bringing up to speed, i am new here and understand some internal rivals and politics are at play, thought i may have been out of order so a bit confused.
Sorry its a blurred photo (had loads like that) but i think this is Lina in early quali's
    :)
