I've been planning on doing Glasgow (where I live) to Inverness but via a different route.
I want to go Glasgow > Creiff > Glen Almond > Loch Tay (via a petty rough foot/farm path) > Laggan > Fort Augustus (via Gen. Wades military road/ Corrieyairick Pass) > Inverness (via the quiet side of the Loch and including a night in/around Boleskine).
I don't have time off at the end of the month either.

My girlfriend and I were thinking of doing something like this in August - but we're limited to road tyres (hipster clearances/superlight touring style). Do you guys know of good paved routes that follow the same way as route 7?

Bump - I was supposed to do some rambling around Loch London but things have changed and am now looking at a tour. Not exactly Glasgow to Inverness, but part of the NCR 7. Something like: Glasgow > Killin > Perth (via Tay) > Edinburgh.
Having said that, I have no idea if this is a terrible idea. Touring bikes with road tyres. Thoughts?

Me and my pal might be up for this. We did Campbletown to Oban on the new route on SS which was stunning. What dates?

Walking coz of steepness or roughness of terrain?
Hi everyone.
Is anyone interested in coming up to Scotland for some cycle touring / camping through the highlands?

I'm thinking a long weekend doing the 200 odd miles from Glasgow to Inverness sometime at the end of the month.
