the pedals are too much! their colours blur the line between frame and component too much; happy to find a colour match to pick out/highlight with a component choice (a la saddle, bar tape, plus zipp/saddle pack combo) but they go the other way and blend into the paint/tie too much together (which is the frame's job). I've got a better photo that shows this, but unfortunately the washing line is in focus, not the frame, so I won't post it :P

Maybe I overthink things though.

Also the yellow at the front of the pedals throws it all off completely anyway

The pedals are absolutely magnificent.

Pedals are great. They match colours really well, you're right about the fade but the affect is neglegable IMO.

I love the saddle match.

Really the pedals are awful on this bike. From the way you argue now you should have a long and prosperous career as a designer.
