A bird deposited what I can only think was last nights dinner/possibly an early (but large) breakfast on my rucksack this morning. 10/10 would use my rucksack for clothing protection.

I cycled in. My legs were sore. I can't decide if I hurt more when riding or not riding.
I cycled in. My legs were weak.
10 minutes later, I realise that the rear brake is a bit tight...

Anyone know why Hackney Road and Old St are so clogged up in the mornings at the moment...?

No shit.
It's just far worse than normal that's all, and I was wondering if I should change my route temporarily.

Pedestrians' average lack of spatial awareness seems to heighten considerably around the Greenwich Park vicinity. I blame the tourists (of various foreign nationality).

That's my route every morning, nearly happens every morning...
Mental rush to park their car!
New shorts for Arturikus? -

Well ragy cycle home.
Another cyclist went off at me because he wobbled into me as he set off from the lights.
Then saw three seperate incidents which were driver error and put a rider in danger, but 3 or 4 other riders swarmed the scene with the sole purpose of shouting abuse at the driver.
Left a bitter taste in the mouth. -

Did you have a taste of one of them?

Wasn't early in the morning, was about 1:00-1:30pm. And yes he turned into a car park.
Have to admit about the shorts though -

My present commute home involves many traffic islands and cars that would squeeze past me on these giving me around a foot of breathing space.
Have learnt from that and much enjoyment taken from moving into the center of the road to prevent fucktards driving scaffolding trucks from passing me there.Next week, t_w is squished by fucktard driving scaffolding truck who's so busy on his mobile that he doesn't notice the cyclist playing traffic island chicken with him.

Traffic Island and cars what gives, one of the roads I sometime use Alleyns Rd is a wide road with three traffic dotted along it, can guarantee that a car won't pass when it has space but will make it's move within 10 metres of the traffic island.
Today's commute will be know as the Bin Van dash, they seemed to be everywhere this morning, nothing worse that drafting a bin van.
7/10 will need a peg in future

Saw some atrocious driving on my commute in this morning. About 10 metres from some (red) traffic lights, there's a scaffolding lorry parked in the right lane (so cars approaching have to come into oncoming lane to go around it). There are cars parked on the left hand side. I'm in the centre of the lane (for primary reasons and also because I was overtaking another cyclist). Someone in a porsche flies up behind me, goes around me and only just manages to cut back in before slamming into an Addison Lee taxi that was coming round the lorry. Only just missed me when he cut back in. Got stuck at the lights literally 2 seconds later. I shouted very loudly at him through the whole procedure but he gave zero reaction. While I was waiting at the lights, the cyclist I was overtaking during aforesaid debacle informed me that he'd spotted Porsche guy was texting throughout his suicidal manouevre. I mean, come on. I very rarely see anything i'd consider reportable, but I wish i'd bothered to stick my GoPro on this morning.

Had to ride the tube in yesterday and then the train home. Tedious, sweaty and expensive both ways. Was a pleasure to be on the bike today.
Sorry it was Wednesday the 8th about 1pm not Friday :-)
