Won my first event last night, our clubs TT on the uc251 around Chew Valley Lake. 8.2 lumpy miles in 19.13 - which is a pb by 17secs and on a cool and windy night :)
Dropped the extensions by 25mm, which I think may have improved my aeros but need to do more testing.

Nice!
Raced old-school(ish) last night and did 23:42, pretty happy to beat 25mph on the drops.

planning on doing the mdcc club tt tonight, what time does one need to arrive to get a decent early start time?
Am hoping to be there for about 6:15 as I don't have any other plans!

I turned up at 6:30 last time and I think I got number 7 because there was a few gaps towards the start... definitely get there as early as possible though otherwise it'll soon fill up with slvlss.

Pshh, Tester and I are faster than that.
Nice photo. Where were you marshalling?

not necessarily - if I bring mine in, my shoulders come out

Not without testing he doesn't... I tested faster going wider.

This is the internet, it's my right to dish out unsubstantiated advice.
It's only because form that photo he looks to have his elbow wider than his knee, I'd have though slightly narrower would be faster.

Yesterday I was at the turn, just by the entrance to Tubney roundabout... lots of traffic getting in the way of good photos though. We had a tandem out last night as well, although it was windy so I think most of the usual fixed riders chose gears. Full album here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/41330923@N07/sets/72157655228817998
I also marshalled a couple of weeks ago on the Kingston Bagpuize roundabout with photos here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/41330923@N07/sets/72157652728227843

Nice shot and very rad bike

They are actually as close together as they will go with these bars, I think my elbows splay out a bit when I get tired because the armrests don't really lock them in.
Congrats on the chew PB Dan, knocking on that 19:00 barrier!!!

Exactly repeated my pb on 10/2 last night, with 10watts less, would quite like the watts back for Monday...
no results yet but Nick English reportedly beat his own course record..
Need to work on pacing, as I keep going off too hard and fading in the second half of the race.

Seems likely, it looked like a pretty fast night as I was getting home too late to race. Thanks

Oh my goodness, condolences to Marina and family. RIP Mike.

I don't think I even got a course PB. The course record is apparently at least 20:07 By Dangerfield in 2005. There may have been a 20:00 but possibly on a different variant.

wow, so a lot faster than Maidenhead think it is then....

Have been offered some 'unique' cranks, so is anyone interested in a pair of new (fitted to show bike, never had pedals fitted) Rotor flow cranks and corresponding q rings? 170mm 110BCD. Cheapest I can see them is £380 without rings, so was thinking £350. Also, will be building steel forks with inbuilt brakes, so have a tri-rig omega going spare, again never broked a wheel just been fitted to a show bike. Brake was £120 without tax and shipping, so £110? Also, tritone carbon braided saddle, retails at £230, was thinking £130? Not sure if it's alright spamming subforums with classifieds, but thought I'd offer them to active members first before chucking them straight into classifieds, and at the mercy of the classified surfers. If it should come down let me know.

Noice.
Do you know where I can find info on the women's event?
Nothing on TTF that I could see.

I'll have the Omega brake caliper off you Matt, if it's still available.
Doing my marshalling duty today, and took my camera along for some fun.
I quite liked this picture of today's winner (@fairlypete on TTF) giving it some beans out of the turn. 21:17 on the H10/17r.
