The straight pull hub is for lower rim weight? (nipples at the hub)
No, the DT ones have the nipples at the rim. Straight pull eliminates the weak point of the spoke, provides a flat face to seat the inner bore of the Raltech cover, and in the case of DT350, the straight pull hubs are a smidge lighter.
I was looking at the Shimano SM-RTAD05 as a possibility, uses screws rather than pins. Definitely need something compatible with 15mm axle, as that's by far the easiest to convert for fixed rear use.
DT do a straight pull 350 with 6-bolt, so there's not much point using CentreLock + adapter if I go the hand build route, but there are more factory wheel options in CentreLock so an adapter might be needed if I can't (or won't - could be expensive) get splined sprockets.
