When i was a kid they brought out these old green fire engines when the fire brigade went on strike.

Green Goddess tenders. Now mostly in Africa.

I used to get on ones like that back in the late eighties, it used to go Roman Road to Kilburn then. Clippie had a little standing area beside the driver, you could smoke upstairs.

Reckon bicycles won today. Highest ave speed. And would put money on it that today was a rental bicycle record, even in that quality of air. Saw some bravery today.

I'm confused, did the strike take place today? Lots of quiet roads, and oodles of spare hire bike docking stations at Canary Wharf, where the whole estate was at capacity last time. Is everyone on holiday?

It was very quiet today on my commute, including the train from Brighton.
It was either an anomaly or everyone's just f***ed off coming in today and has taken a two day holiday to avoid the shit.

I noticed the roads were particularly quiet this morning, more cyclists mind you, I cross over Tower Bridge Road towards London Bridge, which is always busy and it had almost no cars whizzing past.

Its getting bad out there, three cars on three different occasions pulled into my ongoing lane from the street going the opposite direction as the traffic was pretty severe. I glared.

Been on the news, sounds like London will implode at 6.30 and stranded commuters will be roaming the streets fending for themselves.
