They can start, it will be the 4th rider's time that counts. Or 3rd if there's only 3 left.

I'd really like Griepel to win green.

Problem is the hills and the fact that Sagan is 2nd in the point comp

Greipel wasn't too shabby racing up the cobbled steep hills in the Ronde, so he might be right up there with Sagan, Kwiatkowski, Degenkolb, and maybeehhhh... Valverde?

I don't know why, but I don't really like him. He seems like a humourless robot and his sprint form is horrible. His power endurance is phenomenal though.

I never used to like him, but I've warmed to him this year. Even liking Froome so far.

I hope the last section is too flat for Valverde today and Degenkolb steamrollers past/over him.
Sounds a bit like the current Cauberg finish: steep and wide with a flat section to the line.

It has to be Sagan's day today.

I think of him as a Drago from Rocky 4 type figure, Cav as plucky little Rocky and Kittel as an eternal 23 year old euro party boy. Listening to Scooter in a generic Dutch night club.

Greipel war an Sylvester in der Eifel, das wird jetzt belohnt!

This. His face looks funny too.

Kittelrep.

I think, and I'm not sure here, but didn't he have a tour where he was going to early before?
Not that I'm a massive fan or anything. -

ah, nice. I know that bit around the lake, some great gravel roads too between there and Simmerath

He's a fucking diamond. Always thanks his team mates, never bad mouths his rivals, always sprints correctly and works his arse off for the team in races that don't suit him.

It has to be Sagan's day today.
Or Kristoff...

The whole Cav being rocky and Greipel being Drago falls down slightly when you heard Cav used to bully Greipel...

Cav is Shabba's daddy in my analogy

Parp! A bit of both, knowing Sags. He just loves riding his bike (and groping).
-
• #946
he'll need to do a LOT better than he did yesterday on the flat then

I listened to the Cycling Podcast this morning and they had an interesting section on how furious Degenkolb was at the end of the cobbled stage. Apparently Warren Barguil is this hot young thing on the Giant Alpicin team and managed to find himself at the front when there was still 10k to go but when Martin went he didn't react - he was thinking of his own position in the race and not thinking of pulling Degenkolb up to Martin's wheel. Guess Degenkolb was about to burst with fury about not having support to catch Martin's wheel. I can see that.
By the way that's a very fine podcast, I'd really recommend it. Surprising no one I found out about it through yesterday's post on Inrring.

You put that nicely.

But I don't like his face Andy. Sorry. ;)

No no. Kittel is Drago, come on - look at that hair.
Greipel is more like the T800.
In the ttt dont you need 5 riders to finish for your time ? What happens if you only have 4 riders left after crashes ?
