Easier, safer, and more fun, just by having an LED blinker on your handlebars giving you vague compass directions? How so?

Yeah, I don't think it would work very well. Filled out your survey for you, but I just don't think it's a great concept I'm afraid. Sorry.

Dunno, there's a need for something that can give you directions without the faff of transfering routes to a garmin or headphones + google maps. I like the concept, trick is to get it to work with a really simple workflow. paried bluetooth from my phone is the obvious answer I suppose.
If it worked like this:
Open google maps on phone
Get directions for a destination
Send to bluebell
Pedal on with no further interaction required + compensate for wrong turnsAnd it was fairly inexpensive to buy I'd certainly give it a punt.

I quite liked it, a nice twist on GPS turn indicators. Howard's comment about workflow is spot on - the alternatives can get very complex, have you seen the reams written around using Garmins for audax?

Neat idea. Done!

I agree there's demand for something really simple. One of the reasons I tried using a Pebble watch was for easy navigation whilst cycling.
Reminds me a bit of these which I nearly went for a few years ago on Kickstarter http://hammerhead.io/

Thank you all for the feedback and filling in the surveys - it has been so helpful! I will keep you posted about how I get on!
Hi I'm working on a project that will help make cycling easier, safer and more fun - my thinking is the more cyclists there are on the road, the more campaigning power we have to improve the infrastructure and legislation.
If you have a couple of minutes, I would love to hear your feedback about the device! The survey link is here:

Thank you!
