  • I cant quite understand how many drivers thought it would be OK to drive at 8.00am this morning.
Pretty much carnage but i feel above it all and thats what matters most

  • I'm with CanonAxe.

Anarchy on the CS7. Hordes of nodders, like the first 5 minutes of Lord of the Rings but with fewer Elves.

Arrived at work with a smile on my face and a song in my heart.

    10/10

  • Saw a guy on a moped get off and wheel it along the pavement to avoid a red light.

In general it was other cyclists who presented the biggest threat to my safety. CS7 was the worst bit of the journey.

  • Carnage on te roads, loads more cyclists on te road. They better not be there tomorrow

  • Regarding that red light jumping, wheeling bike along and then rejoining stuff. Just lift the bike onto your shoulder cyclo-cross style carry it accross and then remount at your convenience. The old Bill shouldn't be able to do jack shit because you are then a pedestrian carrying luggage.

  • Praying for rain..

  • To add to the carnage? Such fun.

  • Give up how do I embed an mpeg?

  • In an office of 30, 3 have so far turned up....I can only assume the rest are dead.

I took the motorbike in this morning and it took me about 10 mins more than usual. No exciting stories though :(

  • I just avoid the Smurfways and stick to the old LCN routes, which are all a bit

  • I complimented* a white van man on his quality driving this morning.

His retort; "I hope you get sqaushed by a lorry you fucking cunt!"

*sarcasm may have been involved as he'd managed to block the entire carriageway at traffic lights by being an impatient knob end.

  • I came in too early and missed all the fun. Today's commute was a breeze.

  • Looking forward to the carnage tonight though

  • Working from home & avoiding the knobbery today.

I'm still in my pants. I call that a successful commute from bedroom to desk.

  • Might be worth learning a bit of patience and taking it easy on the commute. My other half saw a cyclist overtaking another cyclist down CS8/Grosvenor Road, with another bombing down too fast behind. Overtaker got hit in the arse by bomber and sent skidding down the road, bomber went straight into the rear windscreen of the car in front. Much shattered glass and serrated skin.

  • Lovely weather + happiness from being back on the bike after rugby injury hasn't worn off yet. No shouty-shouty at all this morning and lots of friendly mini-conversations at various lights. Plus traffic not as bad as expected. Would tube strike again. 9/10

  • This morning was bullshit.

Absolutely no action whatsoever, no sign there was a tube strike, it just was like any other morning, in fact it was the most boring ride in I've had this week.

    I want my money back.

  • Ditto. No idea where all the drama is at but not on my route.

  • 1Hr 28mins. Tad busier than usual. Took at least 10 miles to warm up today, dunno why. Must be a low Midi-chlorian count.

6/10 The force was weak in this one today.

  • The only difference I've noticed is that the office was a bit quieter and the buses looked a bit more rammed.

The press pictures of massive tailbacks and the like are just showing normal London clusterfuckery for the most part. I guess this is just part of some crude anti-union narrative.

  • Working from home & avoiding the knobbery today.
I'm still in my pants. I call that a successful commute from bedroom to desk.

yeah this. VPN is a bit slow, and took me ages to get on to sametime...
    not much else to report.

  • Convinced myself to get back on the bike today after Tuesday's hit & run, if only to miss the public transport carnage.

Old Ford Rd/Grove Rd roundabout was fucked as traffic backed up the whole way along Old Ford Rd. A double articulated lorry decided he needed to park himself on the roundabout blocking N/S traffic which meant I had a great horn soundtrack. You know when you know there's carnage ahead, and you're not sure what to expect when you get closer to the source of all the noise, and then when you get there it's such an anti-climax. Yeah, that.

  • A well-spoken young man cycled into the back of me this morning. He had clearly hopped on his barely-used full suspension mountains because of the tube strike. He admitted it was entirely his fault, that I had made it perfectly clear (with some fine hand signals) that I was turning left and he could see that I was slowing for a car to pass in the road ahead. As result I couldn't be all superior and sarcastic, I could only get away with a bit of grumpy muttering.

    That charming bastard.

    4/10
