The caad12 disc looks a lot better thought out to be fair.
I'd look for a carbon synapse disc if after last years models on a discount.

Lemme know if anyone sees a caadx 105 disc or synapse alloy 105 disc for under the £999 rrp! Thanks!

Cannondale hollowgram cranks?
whats the story with them? I see they are very expensive, are they good?
I like how they look and hate my current Ultegra 6700 cranks...

They look good, they are stiff, they are modular, they are light, they have a low q, they take direct mount chainrings, they fit road and mtb. What's not to like?
Except you need a bb30 or pf30 frame I guess

Any news on when the caad 12 is dropping? I've been told october.
-
• #2284
Hah! this is CSG we're talking about.
October would be amazing.
-
• #2285
Nah, you're likely to get them early 2016.

How come?
Would prefer a caadx disc anyway but what's up with the synapse? -
• #2287
Never ridden one, but I suspect the difference between alu and crabon is similar in that between the CAAD10 and Evo. they look the same, the tubes are the same shape, but they don't ride in the same league.
Still will probably do the job if you want a solid disc brake road bike.

Of the discounts on the caad10, what's the best buy? 105 for £1100, force for £1350 or disc for the same. I don't think I can find the ultrega in my size. Alternatively the evo with full rival for £1200 is tempting and I'm not fussed about di2. Would like a synapse but the carbons too pricey atm

Oops - I accidentally n+1ed myself.
Not the most original build, by 6.68kg nonetheless.

(un)slack chain.

How come?
Rear brake is a big flaff due to running the cable inside the BB30, thus give a very crap modulation.
Only worthwhile if you're going for the hydraulic version.

Ah that's good to know! I didn't realise the rear brake was internal. Thought it was external on the down tube rather than the top tube.
Caadx seems like the sensible option. Found a caadx disc 105 for £600 online so might go for that (second hand not on sale) -

You can try and make it work by replacing the housing with compressionless for the rear, but you'd still need to removed the bottom bracket to gain access to ensure smooth operation,

Bought this off eBay, put some nobby tires, new cables and pads, ordered a right hand lever to match, came all pit locked, and with some nice bits. All in all pretty happy

Seriously considering a caad10 disc now they're discounted. Anyone got one or have any thoughts they'd like to share?
