Much mirth this morning calling out a serial RLJing and his crowd of sheep, just don't understand why you would stop at a red light for a few seconds, then decide to ride through.
I did however gain a bit of knowledge on this fact when I ask the women who rode through one lot of red lights and then stopped at another. Her reply was 'If its a red light but the road ahead is clear then you can ride through it' REALLY REALLY. Asked her why she had stopped at this lights but she didn't reply and cycling off through them.
8/10 will annoy again.

I love the "I'm going to look so cool running through red lights!". I also like watching them to see if I can learn anything about dismounting at speed.
-
• #7204
I'm not doing that again. I'm not riding in at 8am. Never. Ever. So glad to be alive and that it's over. 1/10.

Just off the Cut and a cab driver bellowed "DICKEAD" but not quite sure at who. Maybe he was just going for max reverb when going under the railway arch?
-

I also came in around 8.
Such sponsored run t-shirt, so football sock, very RLJ, wow

Perhaps he was having a Maoist self-criticism session?

Tube strike dodgers.
So glad I never to use the tube thanks to a combination of WFH, cycle commuting and run commuting and South West Trains.

People who get off their bikes to walk them through red lights: you're still in the wrong, and you're still cunts.
Why? Especially if it's crossing at a green man.
I mean it's kind of ridiculous to do it all the time, but what makes it wrong and cuntish? Or do you mean running across the middle of the junction? -
• #7210
indeed. if you want to get off and push your bike across the road, more power to you mate! you lot really get your noses bent out of shape over the minor-est of perceived infractions. next time you see someone on a bike doing something you don't like, ask yourself "is this persons actions putting me in any sort of danger, or am i looking for an excuse to come on here and post a whiny, self regarding rant about someone else on a bike who's dress sense offends me"
sack up, ffs.

I mean stopping at a red light, dismounting, walking straight across the junction and remounting at the other side and riding off. No different to a RLJ.
-
• #7212
how is it the same? do you yell at schoolkids crossing the road when the light is red? elderly people? No different to an RLJ!
-
• #7213
Many people, cyclists, pedestrians, drivers, seemed genuinely perplexed and angry
at the 'all traffic halted' re-timing of traffic lights. -

No.
No different to an RLJ!
Yes it is.
Anyway, this has been done to death before with people falling into two camps and unlikely to budge. No need to go over it again.

I'm not talking about crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing.
They're on the carriageway, and must obey the highway code, walking your bike through a red light is a RLJ. Why do I care? Cos it reinforces the stereotype that all cyclists are red light jumpers.

Commute reasonably windy. Annoyance compounded by the final two bike hangers at work being taken up by Bromptons. Your bike folds up! Take it into thee office!

You make me laugh.

• #7219
I mean. I'm pretty certain I could plough through your posts and find something about somebody on a bike annoying you.

The "cyclocross dismount, run through a light" is technically legal (i think. there's been umpteen discussions about this on here. with many choppers wading in on it). However, it makes you look a prick. It's the sort of thing that dickhead courier with the mega stack (there! there's someone you've moaned about) does. I know this because I've seen him do it.
Not only does it make you look a prick, it (cycling safety mode on) can be dangerous. And it adds to the "cyclists are dickheads". -

Megabus coach to leeds I'm in just made a RLJ badly timed amber gamble.

No. Almost certainly illegal, but not 100% certain until someone contests it. See: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/162078/?offset=6025#comment12326791 (and the link to the tweets from The Cycling Silk in the post above it).

Also shout to the two vans who decided looking and indicating were definitely unnecessary and had a good attempt at squashing me this morning.
