Someone smiled at me yesterday.

Tipper truck passenger gave me verbals this morning for cycling to the left of him.
I was a little confused, as the carriageway was two lanes wide when I passed, and then was at least 5 meters ahead of him.
They were, I guess, at least being conscientious.
Obviously I'll still be posting the video on facetwat, finding out where they live and burning their houses down.

They're obviously not from round these parts...

I take it this towpath isn't in London then? Lucky you.
We get plenty of cunts using the London towpaths as a racetrack, pisses me off no end. A boater had a her cat ran over last week by a cyclist who didn't even stop.

Westminster plan to use part of the canal over by Lisson Grove as their contribution to a quietway.

The bit that's private moorings I hope? It's frustrating that you can cycle along most of the canal until you come into the little venice area and it punts you off until reagent's park due to private moorings. It's not a particularly easy stretch to navigate if you don't know all the road turnings as well.

Had my own introduction to the all-new E&C earlier. You know those bits after the toll plazas on things like the Severn Bridge and the M6 Toll motorway, the ones where you get people speeding across huge plains of tarmac at all angles to reach a couple of lanes of road? Well, that. But with my bike and what felt like every cement mixer in London.

Classic 'we hate cyclists' Westminster. One day they might pull their finger out, but all the people in power around there drive...

Pontoon path for bikes along the canal...

Derrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! We're all missing a trick here.... We've already got air in 'our wheelz', I dont see why we can't ride on the Rivers anyway. 5 y/o's thought process engaged!

No I'm on the Kennett and Avon. I heard about the cyclist/cat incident - sounds pretty crap, should have stopped.
People complain about cyclists going "too fast" along the K&A, and undoubtedly some do but most are nice people out for a nice ride. Not looking for aggro or a race.

Thanks! I better get my comments in as those are roads I use regularly.

E&C has been much more manageable the last few days. Better than it being gridlocked and backed up down Walworth. It's the constant lane swapping up Blackfriars that confuses me sometimes. Feels like it's different every day.

Passed Boris J on the way home, it has been the highlight of my cycling career

What is going on with the cycle lanes completely covered in broken glass in several section of the eastbound Camberwell Road? (Before and after Camberwell Green) Loads of people gonna get punctured, already seen several on pavements wondering why their tyres is flats in the first places.

Never mind that, what is going on with those leggings?

My thoughts exactly!

Normally ride home after 8pm but hit peak time today. Lethal cocktail of being stuck in huge promuter peloton, families on holiday, tourists on Boris bikes (they weren't doing anything wrong - we are just going too fast), busy traffic, busy zebra crossings, roadworks, and fucking e-bikes, which can fuck off. Saw one fall. I'm not a nervous rider, but did wonder if I'd get home with bike intact and just tried to chill out and be careful. Fuck commuting east to west at 6pm.

I reckon they're not leggings, they're the actual legs of a Robot. Robomuter?
When she squeezed through the two buses at Brixton she looked a little shocked, so I just asked her if she was OK, then we stopped at the lights and she said it was only her second day commuting by bike so I just offered to cycle with her as we were going the same way.
I agree it is a challenge, think today it was easier as she genuinely looked terrified, sometimes I want to help but just don't think it would be wanted.
