Good point - might have been some intent there. Get best support over the cobbles, let Martin take 1 second back and back in the deckchairs for the rest of the first week...

I wish it was tomorrow now...

Really? Christ, I need a rest and I'm just watching it!

Time for Sky to park the bus in every sense.
-
• #532
Days like yesterday and today seemed obvious moments for Chris to crash or Sky to get caught out - maybe the curse has been lifted, tomorrow will tell...

I've been happily marking exams with it on in the background. I have a lot more exams still to mark. Maybe that has more to do with it.

The crash that did for him last year happened on an innocuous stage, caused by someone else.
I don't think there's any logic to it.

Has anyone seen Richie Porte?

I've been happily marking exams [...] I have a lot more exams still to mark.
This just had me mentally correcting 'marking' to 'Marking' and 'mark' to 'Mark' and it amused me greatly. :)

Saw him put his face into the camera on the cat 4 climb before the Mur

Yeah exactly, the first crash was just sods law and the second one (which is the one everyone seems to remember for some reason) was pretty much a result of his inability to handle a bike after the first.

broad straight roads down hills appear to be the most dangerous parts of the parcours in the first week of a grand tour. always someone not paying attention when the going gets full gas.
not only Hansen is going to have a very painful day on the cobbles tomorrow.

Dimension Data finally releasing stuff: https://twitter.com/letourdata/status/618062170593566720
A phone pic of a monitor. I think these guys may be getting found out for making BS claims.

Absolute disaster for Sky. Froome just can't stay upright and where were his team? The last thing you want is to gain time at this stage. Look at Nibali and Astana last year - they fell in to the same trap and then it all came apart in the third week. I don't know what Brailsford is thinking, I really don't. Bring back Brad is all I can say.

Are you sure you are not watching last years race ?
-
• #543
He's trying to be funny. It happens some times.

They tweeted that Sagz hit 73km/h during his chase back on yesterday then realised that was either super inaccurate or he was massively cheating so they deleted it.

• #545
I'll tell you what was funny - Cav was being lazy! Lol. That and your hamster face.
-
• #546
Ha, I was thinking about this actually - there'll be a lot of arm chair detectives looking for sticky bottles in the data. Probably a can of worms UCI doesn't want opened.

a lot of inaccuracies anyway. Ten Dam finished today's stage, contrary to their (not rectified as yet) claim.

You really know how to hurt me...

Reckon neutralising the race -temporarily - was a fair call. Hope they don't get too much of a hammering for it.

They are slavishly reporting the transponder data that ignores the fact riders swap bikes; I think they were reporting Poels riding in front group yesterday cos Geraint Thomas had his bike after the early crash
First car in the convoy tomorrow though.
