Design parameter is 28T, whether it will stretch to 30T depends on the hanger dimensions. Just stick the X0 on there and enjoy the aesthetic benefit of getting rid of the cable loop :-)

I'll give it a go and if it doesn't want to play nice I'll swap it out for a short cage X9 I have kicking around.
Another question - looks like I need a 1 (.3?)mm allen key to remove a rebound dial. Joy. If I were to buy one, which one would reduce the chances - as much as possible - of rounding the grub screw off?

Before using it, obtain a cockerel, top hat, rum, handful of well used pennies, and some secret knowledge.

Indeed - there are easier quests in Skyrim.
What's the sense in using tiny allen bolts?
Last time I had one like this - again, on a sus fork - I ended up hammering a watch screwdriver into the grub screw to get some purchase on it.
Anyhoo internet tells me it's 1.5mm I need. Park Tool multi features this 'size'. Any good?

That's pretty cool. Thanks.

I would buy one from Unbrako or similar, multi tools tend to be fairly soft.
Also Bondhus, Wera, probably others but these are the brands I know to be good.

Mmm. Got a link to where I can buy one, easily?

Go into any tool or fastener shop and ask.

Avoid using the ball end, make sure the tool is inserted in the fastener as far as possible every time

I want a bike for my new favourite 8 mile part bridle way, part road commute. My MTB is overkill and sweet fixehs are not fun on bumpy tractor-dented mud.
This can't actually be any good for £320 can it?

On the face of it it looks perfect.
Needs risers of course.

They are good.

Winwood. We used them for shelving I've mentioned in the "owning your own home" thread and we're currently waiting on some worktops.
I'm on the phone right now. Pm me if you want more details and I'll ping you something when I'm next at a pc.

If it's 8 miles, why not singlespeed?

Yes. CRC bought the rights to the Vitus brand and decided to do a Planet-X with it, but CRC are an order of magnitude bigger so their shopping trips to Taiwanese OEMs are even better value.

They do a single speed one for £50 less but I thought I could sling a rack on it and it might also make a comfy, relaxed longer distance bike.

only just read this so sorry if you have already solved, but had the same issue with mine (Samsung Smart TV)
easy fix is:- disconnect aerial cable
- turn TV off
- reconnect aerial cable
- auto tune channels
It should pick up all channels again, worked fine for me. Seems to happen occasionally due to a signal interference (ie has happened twice in 9 months)
- disconnect aerial cable

Cheers for that, it turned out to be even simpler (but harder for me to fix).
The builder had put a socket plate on the wall for TV and internet, where previously we'd had the cable straight through the wall into the TV. The 'female' socket in the plate was set too far back so the male didn't engage properly.
Now sorted.

Why do some pro's do this to their pedals?
I thought it was to stop the famous keo squeak when giving it the beans.

Great thanks, have sent them an email.

Has anybody ever had a saddle recovered? (I'd say a shoeshop can do it)
And if so, what leather did you use? It may be more economical for me to recover my red SMP pro rather than get a whole new one :)

What's the diference between Eagle 5s and Dominator 5s?
-
• #69375
Eagles have mesh openings in toe box. Better for summer
Anyone know if short cage ten speed SRAM road mechs will take a 30t sprocket?
