I look forward to Roland's attack/breakaway action in week 3.

Think Renshaw was cooked so Cav had no choice but to go?

Renshaw was cooked.

RACING. Good stage.

Gonna be awkward at the Ettix dinner table tonight, Cav's laziness meaning Martin doesn't get the yellow jersey
-
• #408
He had three riders on the right, ended up leading out Greipel for the sprint.

Another second for Sagan. Always the bridesmaid never the bride.
Except at Tirreno-Adriatico, Tour of Cali, Tour de Suisse...

It was an impressive effort by Sagan to get back into the group after his mechanical. He ran Griepel very close for the win and and looks in very good form. Cavendish hasn't done his contract negotiations much good by pulling up and gifting the yellow jersey to Cancellara. It's still early days but Sagan and Griepel will surely gain in confidence from today's stage.

If Sagan used the same method as Nibali then it'll be interesting to see if the commissaires at the Tour are as strict as the ones at the Giro.

great stage and great win by Greipel. Sagan and Cancellara ('surprise slow sprint') super strong as well. Very surprised Cav didn't take this one, maybe EQS did too much work in confidence they'd win it today
at Trek, no one told Mollema he should be on Fabs' wheel at all times in a stage like this? rest of the Dutchies as bad as they were good yesterday with the very positive exception of Dumoulin. Hope to see him in yellow on the podium tomorrow...

Adam Hansen might be crocked, finished last and reinjured his shoulder

As Mr leek points out not the best decision making by cav. He normally goes to great lengths to praise his team for all their work. They would rather have a maillot juane though...
The best leaders inspire loyalty in the people who work for them. Cav just lost a bit of that loyalty. He will have to work to get it back.

Tyler Farrar won the sprint for 25th.

Where was Porte in the split today? Seems like Thomas is cementing himself as 1st lieutenant although maybe Miliband will come into his own in the mountains.
Movistar seem to be lacking in fire power. Only had Dowsett to try and close that gap.
Was happy Uran got in the move despite not being in my fantasy team.

I really hope he can make it to Paris, his 12 consecutive grand tours thing is one of my favorite on-going stories in professional cycling.

Might be the only chance Cav gets to sprint without Kristoff in the mix.
Ettix starting to make a habit of fucking up when they have a numerical advantage.

Prote missed the split.
Etrix have possibly the strongest team at the tour, but can't ride smart enough.
Poor Adam H. Hope he makes it through. Lotto should be paying him at lot, the media coverage he gets on a daily basis. He's a big sponsor pull.
Poor Quintana, got some work to do now.But I think everything will change on the cobbles, so anyone who takes too much from the current situation will be surprised. I expect big changes in time gaps after cobbles.

I think it'll depend on the weather. If it's wet expect splits but if it's dry then the time gaps will be smaller.

Was looking at this last night. Hope Bardet has a strong finish and takes back some more seconds.

Yeah weather will factor for sure.
