BELGIAN MADE TRACK FRAME
Seat Tube (ctc): 50cm (19.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 53cm (21in)
Rear dropout width: 115mm
Wheel size: 700C/sprints
Seatpost size: 26.8mm
I am pretty sure this is a Belgian built track frame – I’m not really certain of the date the head lugs and delightful Bastide type two plate fork crown would suggest 1950s but the angles are quite steep (especially for a frame as small as this) and the clearances tight. Its in very good condition with only a few marks to the paint. £175

I'm sure if you were to offer him 150 for it he'd snap your paws off!

The Simplex Prestige mech would be for 5-6 rear and the front would handle the usual 52/42 chainring combo.

HELP! I do not have any idea about the origin of the frame and manufacturer, as it has no engravings, it is rather nothing special, but frame seems nice and I like it, so it would be very nice if someone would have some idea of its origin. It is fully chromed, have shimano dropouts (shame :D ), stamped frame number and under that year 1980. Some random bits: breaks - mafac, rd - Huret, stem - SR royal, cranks -Sugino, handle bar - ITM. From what I can see I would say that complication could be like this from begining, but who knows. Any info will be helpful.

Raleigh made full chrome/painted frames like this in the 80's (I bought one for a friend last weekend and we just stripped it back to full chrome. It's typical Raleigh spec kit, but the cantilvers and the lugs suggest maybe something more French/Belgian?
Could have been a cyclocross bike at some point.

Also, looking at the condition of the chrome in places is definitely been part painted at some point. The wheels are much better than the rest of the components, and the frame is likely Columbus/Vitus quality steel if its French/Belgian.

Thank you for reply.
Chrome in the pictures is dirty and full of little oily/dirt drops. But it lack any decals so mybe it had some painted areas in begining.
Wheels - campagnolo hubs on anodiset dark grey rims, rear mavic gp4 (5 speed sach freewheel), front rim is nisi. Glued tubular cx tyres. It has been cx for sure, crankset has single ring with bashguard from bout sides.
Clarification - dropouts 'Shimano-SF'
Maybe someone knows something more? -

I am trying to learn more about my hotta, I know hotta are a now defunct British company, the Internet isn't really saying much apart from "they were expensive" does anyone have any interesting trivia on them? Are they connected to lotus bikes? Excuse essay and lack of imbedded image, posting from my phone

I'm guessing you're aware that yours was called a tt700
They also did some more "normal" diamond frames (P700/perimeter) - also branded Dunlop at one stage
I seem to recall that some of them had some kind of death-fork (prone to breakage at the crown I think)
Can't really remember much more than that, and the above facts are a bit shaky.
So rad tho. definitely needs risers -

I had a perimeter, which was a pretty slick frame. My pal raced a Hotta like yours, it's a true monocoque, and not that light as I remember, about 20lbs built. I remember it being the same weight as my then Vitus 979, but they are rapid and low, especially with disc/trispoke combo. Rad looking bikes right enough.

I'm pretty certain there was an upgrade aero fork in aluminium, with about a 30mm foil blade on it..

Does anyone know what this might be: Tange Champion no 1 butted tubes and fork blade; Lyotard Berthet platform pedals; Brevetti seatpost (27.0); Campagnolo seatpin bolt; Huret Jubilee derailleur (drilled); Campagnolo shifters; Brooks Champion Standard saddle; Cinelli Milano stem badge. Any ideas of make and age?

Koga Miyata most likely, late 70's early 80's
Yeah decent hub, good bearings. Just check the flanges are straight before you build it up. Common problem.
