I run 32c tyres on my daily rider; I don't think they're the fastest though.
The weight and quality of the tyres contributed to this, the fastest tyres I've ridden are a 32mm tyres that weight a mere 285g.
Do you mean to say they just have a TT tax on them, but aren't necessarily faster?
No, Continental claimed that what it's aimed toward.

What's the point?
Smart TT riders will use what ever gives the best time, whether or not it's aimed for them.
