Changing them asap, try to lean and corner them at speed and let's just say a little poo came out as there is no grip from them at all...

that cinelli roadie is awesome!

• #102832
I got some new tyres on my roadie, current weight is 7.33kg.
i still need to play around with my position, need some more hours before i cut steerer.

Only once I get the right gear ratio, atm I'm just spinning slowly and enjoying the polluted views of London town.

marathon plus
Supreme, pls, unless ultra-paranoid

I guarantee you can get it under 7kg without a doubt by opting for a full carbon fork (which is also safer too).

• #102837
Not gonna save him 330g

(maybe marathon plus)
No, fuck that shit, the Hardshell is lightweight in comparison, unless you're happy to add an extra 1kg to the total weight of the bicycle.
People generally don't need puncture resistant tyres as long you don't ride in the gutter/don't look where you're going.

An alloy/carbon fork is probably between 600-800g, full carbon with a small headtube should get the fork weight down as much as 330-340g.

Quick build last night using parts bin stuff.
I'm not too sure what the frame is, thought it may be a Dordogne but the sticker on the frame says 501 instead of the 531 of the linked bike? Loads of clearance and cantis, so a 42 on the front and a 35 on the back, perfect for hacking about gravel tracks/woodland.

The 4ZA Ellyps/Alpina thing which everybody has on their PreCursa among other things is about 550g with a modest steerer length. This cheap all carbon Focus fork is sub-400 uncut, so the opportunity to lose weight is probably more like 150g for cheap or 250g if he gets a high-end sub-300g fork.

marathon plus.
Just to carify, the weight of a 32mm Marathon Plus is 810g.
That's 1620g, the weight of a aluminium track frame, normal folding Gatorskins is 325g, Marathon Supreme is 375g.

They claim the MASH fork is about 620g.
Cinelli claim between 500-550g which is about your reckon.

Bike looks great.
For cummuting if it were mine, I'd go with folding 32mm gumwall paselas, but keep the Clements for running (at low pressure!) for bridleway adventure rides.

620g is probably right for un-cut, Cinelli will be using Italian scales so the true weight will be 550-605g depending on frame size.

This everything.
40psi on Bridleway = lots of fun.

Back in March, I crashed badly in Girona after hitting the first and last pothole of the entire route destroying the rims, damaged the fork and bent the saddle.
I'm more upset about the saddle than anything.
Finally was able to get it build up with a new full carbon fork, seatpost, saddle and soon-to-come wheels (Superstar ARC22), although very tempted to put the Mavic A719/Amboriso/CX Ray wheelset on it instead, 19mm internal is lovely stuff and strong as an ox.

My girlfriends new ride. I am building her better wheels with DA hb7700 hubs. She's borrowing my beater wheels for now. 510mm Columbus Max frame. Group is a mix of Rival and Apex.

I really like that. Gum walls look nice with stickers.

Been thinking about/looking for some new bars for the Argos for a while, drops with hoods get in the way of the rack , didn't want risers and didn't want mad sweep, found some nice nitto on eBay but seller wanted too much and shipped from US would've been a fortune. Then inspired by spotters croix thread I found these at SJS, even got some pretty ugly cork ergo grips to go with them, should be comfy.
Shape, sweep and rise look pretty much spot on.
