I'm not sure of his role here. A stage win and/or domestique for Uran Uran Uran?

Simon Yates faster than Froome and Contador and Nibali faster than all three. Going to be an interesting week.

Peraud not too far back either. I've got secret hopes that he's going to have another stellar tour (if everyone else crashes again).

Pretty shitty TV coverage. ASO really need to pull their tv coverage into the 21st century.

That new data supplier starts their stuff tomorrow apprently

I'm hoping I'll be able to play with the raw data. Kind of want to play with it with Python. Maybe use it as an excuse to teach myself a bit of R.

Stage hunting I'd guess, both him and realistically Uran, or a top ten for the latter.

Steve Cummings quietly finishing in the top 10. Good stuff.

I see tomorrow's stage is pretty flat for the first 143km just with a sudden full six meter elevation spike at 144km.
I know the wind is supposed to be the challenge but I'm not convinced it will make fun viewing.

Like Fingers says - he'll have licence to go for stage wins. Reckon he'll be in the mix on the Muur de Huy and Bretagne and have a go long range on one of the medium mountain stages like last year.
Expect Tony Martin will have a go at some point too.
A solid five points contributed by Dylan van Baarle to my fantasy team. Don't expect him to add a lot more so it's a good job is loaded with superstars elsewhere.

Lots of conflicting predictions on whether it'll be windy today.
Surely it'll only need a hint of a breeze for someone to try and force a split.
The finish is basically in the sea...

Picking Dennis and Martin in my Velogames team proved a stoke of luck.

For echelons to be truly effective, you need a good 20-30 kms to weed out the weak.

Got me wondering if it'd have been possible to get a squad of 9 riders whose surnames could be first names, turns out it probably is, although may not fit Velogames team structure:
Dennis
Martin T
Martin D
Thomas
Kristoff ?
Gerard
Roy
Simon
Didier
Frank
Rolland
GeneMatthews, Martens & Rogers could almost be considered too...

Disappointing from Kwiatkowski considering he's won a prologue this year. Was hoping to see him in yellow at some point but he's over a minute down.
