My Nexus 4 is getting a bit old. Gets really hot all the time too and randomly crashes. Think it may be the battery. So I'll look to replace that. Not too expensive and seems easy to do.
Should I just buy a Nexus 6 to replace it? Or is it pooh?

It's expensive as fuck. Can you wait until October when the new nexus 5 comes out? Otherwise get a moto x.

Oneplus One is down to £220 now I think, and the Oneplus Two is on the way soon-ish I believe.

New Nexus 5, you say?!?
-

It's all rumours but yeah, word is there is a new one on the way.

Nexus 6 32GB at £304 at Play Store.

Cool, I think that'll be about the right time for me to upgrade... Nexus 5 has been awesome up until now, should be easy to move on a 4 month old N5 when the new one comes out... 🎯

Great price but too big...

Once you get used to Phablet size there is no going back.

I sometimes struggle with one-handed N5 operation so I doubt it... I know other people who love them tho'... Different strokes, innit?

I guess.
I just still want removable batteries and memory cards. However the G4 is the only flagship to offer this.
The G3 is a pile of poo for battery so I'm unsure of my next upgrade.

Anything that gets M in a timely fashion. Battery life apparently skyrockets with it.
I want a note edge with stock android.

I'm a bit of a power user as I play Ingress. So replaceable batteries are a must.

While waiting for the OnePlus Two to be released, I have ordered a Nokia Lumia 635... Windows will be a shock! However, $49 is seriously cheap for a "smart" phone

Will it get the Win 10 upgrade?

Can't you just get an external battery? I got a mophie and never looked back. Much less faff, I've found.

This has been considered and I do have a Anker 20,000 mAh external. However it doesn't really fit in the pocket like phone batteries do.

Just got my moto x. Very pleased with it for the price.
The only thing is some of my emails into the gmail app are coming up empty. When I check on my iphone the text is there.
Anyone else had anything like this?
-
• #15970
Nope, not had that. Are you on the latest version of the app? And if you have not turned it off once since buying it and updating everything... have you considered one reboot?

Anyone else get this problem, had it on my last 3 androids. I'll make a call from the stock dialer and then the screen just goes black and will not come back on at all whilst the call is in progress, the only way it comes back on is if the other person hangs up, this is not an option should the call go to voicemail or it's an automated service. My only solution is spamming the power button and occasionally I'll get half a second of screen time in which to try and hit the red phone hangup icon. Starting to really wind me up

I get this when the email is a picture with text rather than just straight typed, promotional stuff from ebay and the like. I've never actually figured out how to fix it though

There is a light sensor that kills the screen during a call when you put the phone to your ear so you don't press any numbers with your ear. This is buggered on yours, killing the display every time you make a call.
I had this when i smashed my screen over where the sensor is. Then when I got the screen replaced, the opposite happened, it wouldn't kill the screen so i would end up muting the call or putting it on to speaker phone accidentally

Ah that was very helpful. Turns out my screen protector was covering said sensor and causing it to go weird and this is a known issue with my brand of protector, a little snip with the scissors and it's working fine, cheers.

Booom, nice. Mine is still wonky but waiting for the new Nexus 5.
Microphone has gone intermittent on my N5, Google tech guy asked me to see if the problem persisted in safe mode... It does, so it looks like I'm getting a warranty replacement... Nice...
