Do people run master (split) links on their brakless bikes? I never have but am changing a chain tomorrow (Tester approved Wipperman) and am considering using one. I read somewhere that the joining a chain using a tool weakens the pin and so a masterlink could be arguably stronger/safer. I'm not convinced. Thoughts?
Also, would you run the master link backwards on a track bike to prevent undoing while resisting/skidding? I've seen in that way on track bikes.
