  • I have a question about aero wheels and the benefits I might get from them before I buy a set that are within my budget.

My current roadbike is a Canyon Roadlite with Ultegra kit and Dura-Ace c24s and GP4ks. This weighs 7.9kg. The wheels weigh a claimed 1395g. The wheels I am considering are from V-Sprint (I have used their fixed gear wheelsets and find them to be affordable and very reliable).

Namely this set, which weighs 1875g: http://v-sprint.com/product/road-wheels/carbon-road-wheels-aero-pro-sport/

For the additional 480g, how much faster am I likely to be able to go? To put it into context, I'm doing ride London for which I've been training for by sustaining 20mph average for 1-1.5hrs. I don't have a power meter, but I'm wondering how much faster I'm likely to be able to go with the V-Sprint wheels over the c24s for the same effort on mostly flat terrain? If it's not going to be very noticeable, I'll just save the money for beer.
