I read in an earlier post you wanted Kashimax five gold so unless you buy one of the older models with 44 mm width the new models are all 30 mm rails as they are designed for use with Nitto jag which is the popular choice for NJS .
You should also be aware that both Suntour Superb Pro and Nitto Crystal Fellow are 44 mm rail width as is another option Sugino Mighty should you go down that route .

Thanks for the help, all good options but I am keen on keeping it Japanese so for me really between the Nitto and the Suntour.
Nitto is looking like the most viable option so far due largely to price. In mean time Ill find out what height my seatpost actually has to be.
