Late for work yesterday, beautiful morning enjoying the ride when I hit a bump nr bermondsey station about 20mph. I began falling down and backwards no idea what was going on. I lost control hit the deck and did somersaults on the tarmac.
Seatpost had snappedand my seat was 5 yards behind me. A few people picked up my belongings and with a graze on every limb and a lot of claret pouring out of my knee i wondered home dazed. 30mins later I take a closer look and there is actually a 1/2 centimeter diameter hole in my left knee.
Something to do with prior surgery on that knee i conclude and head to a and e . Their eventually assessment was probably 'just lost some flesh out of there' so they stitched it up and sent me home. It hasn't yet stopped weeping and the stitch didn't quite cover the hole.
Waiting for emergency doctors appointment now. Stay safe people..
