Joining in on the holiday boasting, I tested my bargain eBay super lightweight jersey in the Luberon hills last week, very comfortable. Will probably get another outing in the Cévennes this week, although it's too hot to ride unless you get up at dawn at the moment.

Sticky bottles

^ This. It's a reference to domestiques getting a tow off the team car by hanging onto bottles being passed to them by the Directeur Sportif for long periods of time, explained ironically on the basis that the bottle is sticky. An accepted part of racing, albeit not openly acknowledged as such.
