Or try the Shimano Click'r SPD pedals. Double sided SPD pedals but the bindings push flat and are perfectly fine in normal shoes.
I have the PD-T400 version (in black) on my hackbike and they work perfectly. One or two days a week commuting in SPD shoes and one or two days doing other rides in normal shoes or astroturf footy boots.

Click r have low tension, supposed to be aimed at people who are scared of not being able to clip out.
M454 and M545 are both shimano spd pedals with cages (plastic and metal, respectively), have used them both (as well as the click'r), they are good if your shoes aren't thin, where you can feel the spd parts protrude up above the cage.(Apparently there's also m647, not tried those...)
Hi are there any good platforms or inserts for SPDs so I can cycle with normal shoes instead of bike shoes? I know I can get two sides SPDs with a flat side however I like the pedals I currently have just want the insert for the ever so often bike ride with nomal shoes. Thx
