FOR SALE: Cooper T200 Championship '50 bike

Posted on
  • My husband and I are selling our beloved bikes as we're moving to the country and need something a little more suitable. Also selling a Pashley.

    For sale a lovely Cooper T200 Championship '50. £300 o.n.o.

Collection from Stamford Hill or possibly Old Street area during the week. Needs to go asap!

It's a special edition single speed / fixed modelled on the lightweight racing bikes of the '60s, finished in classic Cooper racing green to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Cooper Car Company Formula 1 World Championship victory in 1959.

I've had it since new in September 2011 and besides a little surface wear and tear on the frame and bar tape it's in tip top condition. The only changes I've made are upgrading the tyres to Schwalbe Marathon Plus for something a little more robust for London roads, and replaced the fixed cog on the rear hub for a 15 tooth Condor one so the gear ratio is better for cruising at high speed.

I have to say that it's a great bike to ride, comfy, speedy, nimble and gets lots of compliments and I'm very sad to have to part from it.

    Some more pics to follow.

Here's what someone professional has to say about it.

    And here's the manufacturers blurb:
