You can get 65 to 70 from a 2 1/4 petrol, not that you'd want to. I had one for a few years and the only good thing about it was the profit I made when I sold it.... You will rapidly become bored of the fuel gauge dropping at the speed of sound, particularly until it warms up (until then you will get better mpg from a Lamborghini), not good news in London. They're horrible to drive on a run, although you may reach the dizzy heights of 20mpg. Landies are agricultural vehicles, it's all they're good for (and why I had mine), at the same price there are umpteen better, more modern, vehicles. By the way, the V8 is no more thirsty and much better to drive (which isn't saying a lot), this is in the real world, ignore published figures.
