You may (and I haven't tried all of this myself on a chromebook, I've done bits on different computers) get it to work by
Put it in developer mode
Install Linux using Crouton
Booting into Linux
Install Pipelight in Linux
Install the UserAgentOverrider add-on in FirefoxHowever, Pipelight doesn't always work, the sound may not work properly in Linux, the Chromebook might not have enough power for the video to run smoothly, ...

Got my refurb Acer C720 Chromebook this morning from Argos, £125 delivered. No cosmetic damage or anything. Does exactly what I want it to, although Now TV/Sky Go and the Silverlight stuff is pretty shit. Anyone know of an easy workaround?
