busy and expensive, very Paris-on-sea
the good thing is there are various beaches for all tastes. going south towqards Guethary : Cenitz and Acotz are more popular and laid back, being closer to the campsites.

Just got back, it was awesome. Not very expensive at all to eat and drink out. Top tips are to hang out around the covered market for food/tapas stuff. Hire a body board, wet suit and flippers for 15 euro from the the surf shop on grand plage. If you like seafood go to casa juan pedro down by the harbour - don't bother with the more expensive restaurants there. Just generally mooch around town checking out cool stuff. If you have more time maybe a trip to foothills, bayonne, san sebastian would be a good idea.
