Where abouts are you?
Do you know the weight? (I know that shouldn't really matter...)

Hi,
On the Carradice site it's stated weight is 916 grams.
I'm in Exeter. You're more than welcome to collect if you're in the area. -

Ha, wrong end of the country.
Is there any wear/deep rubbing/anything to be concerned about?
-

Ha. Come on the train, I'll even take you on a nice ride around the Devon lanes :)
There is one little rub area on one of the pannier rails. It's only about 5mm square. The rack is like new, I only used it once before selling the bike it was bought for. You'll definitely be pleased with it if you buy it.

I'm in Leeds so for the price of the train ticket I could probably have one custom built. Sorry for all the questions, I got a blacburn front rack but it seems a littl flimsy for it's intended purpose, is this thing rock solid? The blackburn looks great but you can twist and turn it like mad, concerned about it failing loaded up.

Yeah this thing is properly solid. I'm fussy about racks for that very reason. I really only rate these and Tubus off the peg. I just had a custom rack made which is solid but cost me an arm and a leg!

What with all this sun, there must be someone that needs this to go touring?
-
• #9
Probably a dumb question but is there an adaptor plate with this for axles rather than QR...or would i have to make one?
-
• #10
I'm not sure but I think it's quick release only as the one supplied is longer than standard.
