They're certainly no worse than the competition.

On a par with a Castelli Speedsuit + retrofit Nopinz pocket?
Price works out the same.
-
• #681
Which one? The new Bioracer one? Dunno tbh. It'll be fast. Not sure if NoPinz saves as much as they claim it does. Obviously saves holes in your nice suit though.

The new Bioracer one?
Yup.
Wasn't really thinking of what a NoPinz pocket saves, just that the price is exactly the same as a Castelli and a retrofit and if I was going to bin £200 on some flimsy lycra, then not putting holes in it seems like a good idea (especially if you're fat).

I'd probably take the Castelli tbh. Looks better IMO, and of the two I'd suspect it's the faster.
They are very delicate though. Keep it for Sunday best.

The Castelli one is on offer on probikekit for £135 btw...just picked one up, should be arriving tomorrow.

No brainer at that price.

Jinx!

Yeah - looks like the yellow one has gone up in price - that's the one I got as it was the only one they had in small (would have preferred the black/white tbh)

so I have a size large chest and a size small waist......
my gabba in size medium fits fairly well - so I just split the difference...

• #692
also, is putting silicone oil on my velotoze actually going to make me faster or just look like a tit...?

• #693
What!?
-
• #694
Do it! Good for 5w I hear.
Don't forget the pics...

They can customise an existing suit (I'm likely to do this for Assos), they have a club Speedsuit £110, SuperSuit £200, a Bioracer-made Supersuit with ribbed arms - that I wore in my last two races £265 I think it was and a fully custom, made-to-measure Bioracer option which is big dorra and I couldn't get soon enough for the 12hr so went with the cheaper option.

And if you've ever had pins come out and stab you in the back... like me TWICE during last year's Newbury 12hr, you'll appreciate the lack of metal..

I don't know what the new ones are like but I really disliked the older one I tried. Probably fast but so annoying to get on I gave up on it. The shoulders turned into wings because it was so tight I couldn't get it up my arms properly.

Hmm - Castelli skinsuit has arrived - with a tear in the mesh back, argh - was hoping to use it for tomorrows club TT to test it out.

on the basis that shiny = fasterer than matt, baby oil would erode the plastic but silicone oil would be the more sensible solution for making things shiny - but I suspect the amount is probably small....
I have seem people smothering themselves in baby oil at races before so wondered if this was material or just a waste of effort!

WTF kind of races are you going to! slvlss, I literally can't even...
Dunno about shiny being faster, Matt Bottrill is pretty quick.
You'll be detected after the fact by the super sleuth 'Kimroy'...
