Maybe some of the current teams employing former dopers should make a point of kicking them out? But I guess there'd be a shortage of doctors, soigneurs and DS's then...

Interesting how Frank Schleck says he'll miss the Tour this year due to a previously unannounced knee injury on the same day this report comes out.

Not sure. It's not clear in the article if he organised the press conf or was questioned about it first.

I dm'd him on twitter and told him the truth would set him free.

It wasn't antidoping at his hotel it was Wiggo on the windup.

One missed test isn't a smoking gun, and his reasons sound legit, although he should have instructed hotel staff to let the testers have access if they came calling, obvs

He's put the name of the hotel out there - they could come out and say he's talking mince if it isn't true. One of the better missed test excuses, fo sho.

Two tests. One was five years ago so out of the 12 month/3 strike penalty range.

Froome was rubbish five years, if he was doping then he wasn't doing very well

I for one am disappointed in his boring excuse. Where's the dead twin, the 32 units of alcohol, the delicious steak?

My reading is that somebody asked if he had ever missed a test (UK journos having just learned about this thanks to Mo Farah) and he said yes.

Clearly trying to cover things up then.
