Have spent the last week or so turning my previously unridden and unloved dawes galaxy into a light tourer...
Still a bit of a way to go (Pelago front rack and Swift Ozette bag are planned to finish it off as well as mud guards for winter).

What gear levers are you using? Front DT shifter and a Paul bar mounted DT shifter for the rear?
Looks nice.

• #9789
Is that a chain tensioner on the rear dropout?
-
• #9790
Yes
-
• #9791
Hmmmmmm is it not just stopping the wheel from coming out?
-
• #9792
Nah, chain tensioner.
-
• #9793
Proper installation of the rear wheel.

Just a paul thumbie for the rear - running it 1x9 at the moment which I am finding nicely functional with a 34t narrow wide and 11-34t cassette.

Not sure if these are of any interest to you guys in FBNPNA, but I just backed them on Kickstarter, for the more casual of functional rides.

Lighter. Has reflectors.

Haha, true.
However, the Fly Pedals work with my TIME pedals, and they can run Restaps or traditional clips/cages.
-
• #9798
Or the old stakeboard trick;
TBH, it would be worthwhile if they made it as a dual sided flat rather than just single sided, like the Speedplay pedals;
-
• #9799
you could just switch pedals though?

Don't you understand? Fly pedals go to 11.
Ha! We both know too much shit, recognising random bikes.
