Just picked this bargain up off eBay. Will be putting my Ultegra stuff on it, should be decent.

that' a banger - was it the one with a 105 group on it?
-
• #104
This was originally mine. It's a great frame, hope you enjoy it!
-
• #105

@ MBroady I really like that, had my eye on it on 'Bay as well... so nice, Ultegra 6800?
Can I dibs if you ever think of selling it?
-
• #107
Yep, 6800, Ultegra wheels, Thomson stem, King BB, Fabric saddle, should be clean. No problem with the pre emptive dibs, will do my best to remember!

^sounds classy, gumwalls maybe?
-

Here we are. Excuse the old Gator Hardshell on the front, the forks wouldn't take 25mm frustratingly. Good excuse to get gumwalls eh.

That's nice. I think gumwalls would go very well!

Haven't posted mine here yet!

Vittorias are on their way and I was actually looking at King Cages last night, well I was seeing if there was a cheap chinese alternative Titanium one anyway. Maybe later down the line. Or may just go for Stainless, 40 grams won't hurt me.

the stainless 'iris' ones get my vote!

All these pics have got me very interested in my own BR custom frame.
Can anyone from here shed any light on the Rourke process? What was it like and how long did it take to get measured through to riding away?

Brap.

• #118
that is really very very nice

Nailed it! understated awesomeness!
I'd be tempted to put a 'slate' Brooks Cambium on it... (a ti seatpost and stem would set it off nicely too)
(also dibs)

Just put my name down to go up and get measured up for one and fulfill a long term aim.
It seems like a reassuringly thorough process. They ask that you put a whole day aside to go up and get measured up, get to know them and for them to understand what type of frame/complete build you're after and what type of rider you are. They've asked that I take my current bike up, shoes kit, the whole lot, so they can see what the status quo at the moment is. You also go through all the decide possible options - tubing, paint etc. (I'm struggling with the paint choices at the moment...)
Then its around a 7 month wait, give or take, for the frame/complete build to come to fruition.
I'd drop Gareth and email if you're keen as he is very helpful and explains the whole process very clearly.
Roll on 29th June.....

I've made the call to Gareth and pencilled in a day in july. Very excited.
Not sure on tubing. You?I'm already starting to decide on a colour.
Do you know what colour you're going to plum for. This is my favorite colour at the mo.

953 - I've decide not to fook about.
Can't go wrong with a blue/silver job IMO.
I want to do something like Ian Cammish's TT bike but in BC colours. Just so I can look ace on the club run, and like a tit at races.

Here's mine, sorry about me looking like a knob in the photo, purchased the frame and forks off Ebay, a few years ago for £70! It's now stripped down, awaiting a re-spray, when I finally decide on a colour scheme, will rebuild it with a full Shimano Ultegra 9v group set (all NOS) 3TTT bars/stem, I've got to get the frame sent away, need to get my arse into gear, any suggestions on a paint scheme? Did think about burnt orange, white decals and lug lining, I'm keeping the chrome fork. Cheers
