  • It's being used as a parking lot for tankers.

  • It was a secret Beatles reunion and they didn't want you to know that John and George are still alive.

  • Although Paul McCartney is still dead.

  • Anyone recommend me a good commute bypass of elephant an castle from oval to London bridge? Don't wanna do that no more

  • Kennington Road, turn right onto Lambeth Road and then over the roundabout onto Borough Road, I think? It'll lead you onto Borough High Street anyway.

  • I tried this this morning, mainly because Kennington was underwater...

    Seemed to work well though

  • Northern line?

  • Another awesome commute today, road from the station to the hospital through york. Annoyed many drivers by filtering to the front of the asl then trundling away on my bike. Pottered the whole way about 12 mph. Fuck em.

Only 4 more days of this glorious freedom then back to the tedium of driving. :(

10/10 desperately want to continue cycle commuting.

  • That was some serious surface water in Kennington today, adding to the usual fun.

  • Kennington....?
    What, down near Oval...?

    How was it?

  • Never forget

  • Kennington....?
    What, down near Oval...?

    How was it?

    Heh.

  • Maybe the wet Kennington clusterfuck was the reason I saw some guy wearing full winter outers on the way home tonight. #prepared

  • Rode in at 5:30, still too warm. Might set off at 3am tomorrow to see if that is more tolerable.

  • I think we both suffer from excessive insulation.

  • For the past 3 weeks I've been having a rather annoying battle with someone (or people) who keeping put a "diversion ends" sign smack bang in the middle of a cycle path.
It's here at the junction with Union Street and Southwark Bridge Road SE1.

I clear the obstruction most mornings and have even moved them a few streets away but they just put new ones in its place.
I was hoping they'd give up and/or realise the reason it keeps getting moved but clearly not.
I'm pretty sure I'm more stubborn than they are but I think I will probably have to report it to Tfl.

  • Nah, I only had a thin top on.

  • E&C was a particular joy this morning. To the big chap on the SS Orange and Black NoLogo you are a twat and lucky that cabbie didn't knock you out.

Seems everyone has forgotten about the recent deaths and still continue to filter down the side of buses/trucks/vans indicating left. At least one lad stopped after hearing me saying 'watch out for that van it's turning left' he admitted he was just following everyone else.

    Still sun was out 8/10

  • Adjust seatpost at work...bolt snaps in two. I now have a trials bike.

Le Manfriend works nearby hopefully he has a bolt and some tools.

  • OKR complete gridlock thanks to flooding in Kennington. Motorbikes on the pavement etc.

  • Nose to tail from King's to Elephant.
    MENTAL.

  • Agree with CanonAxe about E&C.

Still perfecting the art of entering the roundabout when there is slow-moving traffic already on it.

    7/10

  • Omnishambles from Oval to Kennington too. All heading towards E & C though, so once you were past Kennington Lane it was relatively clear.

  • Yesterday evening big lad on a kinesis race light I think with tri bars and a rear facing camera on the seat stay towed me home from the city to Richmond Park. Your route through the park was different but you were at Hampton Court roundabout about 30 seconds before me.

If you are on here thanks for the lift and sorry to wheel suck if it was annoying.
