Dolan Pre Cursa - Couple of questions

Hey guys,

Thinking about getting a Dolan Pre Cursa, but I have a couple of questions.

1: Can anyone tell me if it's possible to add a rear brake? Do i need to get the frame drilled or add a clamp?
2: How bad is the toe overlap on a 52cm frame? Has anyone had any experience with this?

get a dolan fixie frame, it's drilled for a back brake, the pre cursa is not.

@WroSS Thank you! Is this your bike? I agree, looks like there is no overlap, wonder if it'll have with a toeclip...

If you want a drilled precursa just get an FXE. No decals, bottle bosses and drilled both ends. Exactly the same frame otherwise

@Turkish Thanks mate, I've been looking at it. I dont find it as attractive, but I think it's because it has no decals...

Wasn't there a big thing in the Dolan thread of them not being the same frame?

FXE has longer back end I believe.

I thought they looked a bit different... is it too weird to get a pre-cursa and add a rear brake?

FXE = Slightly longer stays. Frankly though, it's not something you'll notice.
More importantly, let's be honest here, they're both fucking ugly. I love mine, still the bike that makes me happiest, but there's no point trying to mask their ugliness.

I currently have two. Which I fucking dig, but yes. They're ugly.

I drilled the seatstay brace for a brake but it wasn't perfect, need a fairly long drop brake to work.

@MBroady which brake did you end up going with then? are you just using cable ties to secure the brake cable?

Some tektro brake, can't remember the model. And yeah, just cable ties.
