  • Well I hope your 50 went better than mine Scilly. Zip on my skinsuit broke just before my start, so I had to pin it together.

Elite Crono bottle look really good in a BTA setup, but pisses out its contents every time you go over a bump. Which when you ride on UK TT courses, is quite often. Pretty sure I only drank about 100ml from it.

Didn't really try hard enough, shit power, kept getting distracted. Head wasn't in the right place, mentally or physically.

Oh, and I missed the fucking finish. Went on straight past the finish sliproad. Said fuck a lot, walked the bike back to the finish. Was on for a 1:53 which is still shit. Don't even know if I'll get a time or a DNF, would probably prefer the DNF tbh.

  • Well, I sensibly prepared my pills, powders & potions last night... and left them in the fridge this morning.

However, my zip-tied BTA bottle cage held and someone had dropped a gel on the way to the start, so I slipped that up my sleeve: balance restored.

I was seeded with 23:00 and vets standard is 18:18, so I'm more than happy with 15:00 and my race partner bagged the ten year old course record.

Godric CC laid on a proper, old school spread and were marshalled up to the hilt.

2:15/50 Would trash my gooch again!

  • unlucky dude, it's always so stressful when something goes wrong before you have even started. 1:53 is hardly 'shit' though. Better luck next time!

Compared with what? You've only done a 55 for 25 miles, so anything under 1:55 for 50 would be acceptable.

It's a DNF if you didn't traverse every part of the course, so if you go off course you must retrace to the point of departure and then continue on course from there.
