I don't brake everything! Just poorly built stuff.
I'd have loved some carbon rims. I would have, but there is not 24h dynamo in 15mm thru axel.
@Dammit has some Chinese carbon wheels he's put loads of miles on. And they go strong still. I think carbon is seriously strong.
Obviously ride quality and appearance is a large factor in the decision, but I'd say 5 years would defnitely be reasonable on a disc only rim. The main factors in carbon failing are usually brake pad related so realistically they would last indefinitely...
