Mavic and Fulcrum have black alu wheelsets now.
The coating will hold up for a while, but eventually it will fail and look shit. I've had Mavic's with ceramic coating and it's pretty much useless.
Yes the Open Pro ceramic coating can crack but the Rigidas are proven to last really well.
All rims wear eventually if you rub them with things.
