the wellington and the post office vaults probably have the best beer selections in brum.

i believe purnells on cornwall st is well regarded, but haven't visited

head for john bright street - brewdog, cherry reds, the victoria, island bar all ok. as rive_gauche says, wellington is good, there are a few nice pubs near cornwall st.
avoid broad st at all costs.....consider heading out to Moseley (50 bus route).

Any suggestions on pubs/bars/restaurants/anything else for three thirty-something blokes to go to in Birmingham over the weekend? Anywhere with decent beer would be a bonus. Cheers
